I wonder why John Woo doesn’t want to direct this. He directed an American remake of The Killer in 2024, so it’s not like he’s only working on Hong Kong films these days.

That movie is perfect and does not need a sequel, prequel, remake (unless it’s animated and frame by frame), or limited premium series. Probably some other rich asshole making the world worse.

I like it enough that the new Godzilla movies exist, but Adam Wingard is not really talented at all to be missed.
Can’t forget about his Death Note adaptation either
