My name is Salomão Abdala, I'm the director of 2DIE4, a rare case of a racing-independent-movie, that is also an IMAX RELEASE.
2DIE4 actually marks the first-ever use of anamorphic lenses in an IMAX release. We've tested a new proprietary technique for shooting anamorphic on 1.43:1 IMAX aspect ratio, which has never been done before.

Anyways, I just thought it would be really cool, as part of a new generation of filmmakers, to be very much in touch with our audiences so instead of having a Premiere with only industry members, to actually have the moviegoers in it.
