Aww bless him. The way he said “Not yet” about his walking. 🙏🏻

Oh I didn’t know Ms Jay had a stroke. Jesus. Sending love & healing. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

If anything comes out of this, I hope it’s a whole lot of love for Miss J. He was ahead of his time in genderqueer/genderfluid expression in the mainstream on broadcast television. He was an incredible mentor with incredible taste. Yes, some of the criticism was cutting, but it was never cruel.
All of you gif makers out there, please get some Miss J greats added to our reaction staples.

This is a PSA for middle-aged Black men in particular: please take your blood pressure meds. I’m not saying this is what happened to Miss J., but when I see Black men in this age range having strokes, it’s often because they were prescribed bp meds and refused to take them. It breaks my heart to see my community so affected. This message might go over Reddit’s head, and I know someone is going to “remind” me that strokes aren’t exclusive to Black men. But I’m speaking to a specific group who needs to hear this. My heart goes out to Miss J., and I hope he regains the ability to walk. I’ve seen people make remarkable progress even years after their strokes. Oh, and fuck Tyra for not even going to see him.
