    > “Vile online hatred attacks the mind and fear lures it into the darkness, no matter how hard you try to stay sane through the endless insurmountable pressure,” he continued. “It all builds up as these moments flash before your eyes, resulting in an inevitable crash. This is that version of the story.”

Between his final outfit and this, I am increasingly convinced he’s IRL Paul Atreides

That’s actually pretty sad. I’m sure he is already disappointed in himself making mistakes after his intense training. No need to make it worse with nasty comments.

God this is terrible. He’s just a kid, a kid who did his best. Anyone who’s ever competed in a sport knows that some days your body just doesn’t do it. It happens to literally all athletes.

They really hated on him just because of how he dresses/presents himself on top of the fact he was having fun throughout the competition. Fucking hate this country man.

  5. The olympics really should be televised with a pinned note that these are all *children* who gave up their entire childhood to achieve more than most of us will ever do in a lifetime.

  6. Honestly all the pr and coaches that put him on such a high pedestal so any failure would be that much bigger should be ashamed of themselves.
