  1. I don’t understand why more people don’t use the family plan. You have five separate people with their own individual accounts and you don’t actually have to be family. I’m paying four dollars a month and I share it with four friends. There’s no way in hell I’d pay more than $10 a month for it if I had my own account.

  2. So glad I decided to end my subscription right before this increase..! Idk what the price will be in NOK but I want to spend my money somewhere else ☺️

    This is getting ridiculous.

It honestly feels like they just increased.

  4. I gave up waiting for a discount and started using the free version again. It’s fine. I don’t listen as much as I did when I had premium, but in the few hours I’m using it, I’m not really bothered. There isn’t a dramatic difference in sound quality and it’s really only annoying for playlist shuffle. But it’s fine if I just want to check out a new album or listen to some podcast episodes.

  5. I have the family plan on Apple Music and for the 6 of us in my immediate family it’s like $2ish a person. $18.99 for one person is insanity

so glad i cancelled the fuck out of spotify, this is bullshit. a couple weeks ago I was able to get a 3 month free trial for Apple Music bc of the Super Bowl halftime show. I highly recommend looking to see if they have any promotions still active

  7. They have to raise the rates to pay the artists all that sweet sweet cash they’re pulling down /s

I use the free version on Spotify and YouTube music. I’ve been taking it back to my high school days and buying CDs if I really want to support my favorite artist.

It’s pretty much $20 a month now, that’s a hard nope for me. But then again, was never paying anyways for it. Between Netflix and every other subscription, I have to pick and choose.

I cancelled my premium subscription today (been a paid subscriber since 2017 and a Spotify user since 2012). I switched to a YouTube Premium family plan with my spouse because although it’s a little bit pricier, you get more bang for your buck (no ads on YouTube videos and the separate YouTube Music platform).

Omg!! Glad I’m paying for Apple Music. $12 a month. Unfortunately though all streaming services will probably go up now bc that’s all anyone uses

I signed up for Spotify so early that it was still in beta mode, but finally swapped to Apple Music last year. I don’t love the interface of AM, it just doesn’t feel as intuitive to me, but the quality of the music **far exceeds** Spotify, the difference is night and day. I’d never go back.

  13. Why is it 12 dollars for some folks, and 18 for others? I only ask, because I canceled back when they were doing the Ice promos, and it was 10.99, my brother told me his went up to 12$, but ive seen this post before (same price atleast) different plan? different currency?

  14. I watch YouTube so much that I paid for the premium subscription and it comes with YouTube music! Worth it for me. I will unsubscribe if they jack up the price though. I’m trying to switch back to physical media, slowly but surely.
