So I saw the movie having never read the book but I have seen all the discourse. Not sure why they went with the marketing they did. I walked out of there depressed as hell

This show is literally the best. It wasn’t as appreciated at the time as it deserved to be nor is it as well recognised as the show that literally revolutionised the sitcom.
It feels so modern and timeless.

This is what it was like growing up with an extremely intelligent mother, although my Mom would never be caught near sports (hand-eye coordination etc. etc.)
