I don’t care for either of them but the reaction to them and their relationship was extremely bizarre and seemed to be rooted in a lot of misogynoir when it came to Cynthia specifically

I’m sorry but she’s right. Seeing the reactions in online spaces to her and Ariana vs those two guys from Heated Rivalry tell you everything you need to know.
(Also, I’m not shading the Heated Rivalry guys, I know they’re getting a ton of hate right now which is disgusting. But the initial reaction to them was super positive. People were making fun of Cynthia and Ariana from day one.)

She’s absolutely correct & I do think it’s part of society being uncomfortable with women finding fulfilling relationships that don’t include men. They want us so reliant on them they close female friendships scare them.

I feel like they both were/are going through something. And I think they care for each other deeply. Someone pointed out they have lost a lot of weight like many others in the entertainment industry. It could be that or/and something else.
And is it just me or is Cynthia targetted way more than Ariana? Idc what you all say but there is an obvious racism playing a part in people mocking them.

I mean, i never they were lovers or working that angle, but some of their moments and reactions during that press tour looked very exaggerated, to the point it did look artificial and weird. It’s like when you have a friend who is extra so you get carried away as well lol.
Some of that maybe has to do with being uncomfortable in front of the cameras all the time, so you don’t even know how to react in certain situations.
But i did feel bad when the backlash inevitably happened. Some people went overboard.
