The only way this works is if they follow the start of ‘The Hunt’. Announce Jason Momoa and use him for all the marketing and he gets killed right at the start of the movie, only to show another famous face who also dies.

if this doesn’t feel exactly like starship troopers on steroids, it’s going to be a massive waste. justin lin knows action, but i hope he doesn’t forget the satire. that’s like 90% of the game’s soul

I don’t like this because the whole point of the satire is that Helldivers are just a disposable meat based targeting system for the Super Destroyer. That doesn’t really match using a big time star with lots of muscle.

God I really hope the irony of these video games is not lost on these people. I feel like they’re going to miss a lot of the subtext of the games and just make it “hur dur dur shooty shooty!”

Does anybody else think he’s not a very good actor? He takes me out of everything he’s in, becuase he’s just the same guy in everything. He certainly looks the part of Hollywood star, I’ll give him that, but then he starts talking.
