German soccer referee Pascal Kaiser was assaulted by three men at his home, a week after his public marriage proposal. The day before the assault, he received threats, and his address was leaked. He contacted the police, who told him there was no immediate danger.

If anything, straight men should be the biggest supporters of gay men but for some reason, a lot of us want to be homophobic and beef with gay men.

I cannot find a single article on this on German news. German media extensively published corrections after it was mistakenly reported that police were looking for Pascal for theft, but nothing on this incident.
Considering this incident is said to have happened between Saturday and Sunday already, I am confused that there are no German news sources corroborating.

The soccer community in Germany is incredible homophobic, so it’s sadly no surprise this happened. Same for the reaction from the police, the German laws are so vague and unsupportive for victims.
