I just watched the whole press conference and I’m not convinced it’s even a kidnapping. The Sheriff seems out of his depth. They released the scene too early and a reporter was able to walk right up to the front door and take pictures and videos of the bloody porch. It’s amateur hour over there.

I hope she’s found alive and safe, but the details that continue to come out make me have doubts. It sounds like whoever did this are professionals. I also wonder if it’s wise that all this information coming out will help or hinder the investigation.

1: 47 a.m., her doorbell camera was disconnected..
2:12 a.m., the software detected that a person was on camera, but there is no video so it could have been an animal.
2:28, Nancy’s pacemaker app showed that it was disconnected from her phone.
I suppose this could mean: Someone disconnected the doorbell at 1:47… but did not enter the house until later.. maybe 2:12 (and then left the house around 2:28, when the pacemaker and phone separated). Under this scenario, the person was in the house for 16mins. (or 41mins if they entered at 1:47).
if 16mins, then seems to fit a targeted kidnapping. If 41mins, then seems more possible for an interrupted burglary or something. To me, it seems most likely a 16min targeted kidnapping.

I felt sick when they mentioned that the footage wasn’t available because of a fucking subscription to the ring bell camera not being enabled.
They also mentioned someone was arrested today for making false ransom demands, just absolutely sickening.

Two bad things can happen at the same time, and I won’t deny that this is an urgent situation that deserves attention, but please also spread the word about Maleeka “Mollie” Boone. She was an eight year old girl from the Navajo Nation reported missing on Jan 16 and later found dead. They have yet to find her killer. It feels kind of gross that a missing white woman makes national headlines while this poor little girl is only getting attention from locals.

From a practical standpoint kidnapping an 84 year old in poor health seems like a huge risk and a lot of work. Like the chances of a bad outcome just from natural causes in a short amount of time is pretty high. What’s the logic? I told my daughter that if anyne kidknaps me beyond the age of 75- keep your money!

I feel so badly for this family. I can’t imagine the angst of waiting for…something. It’s absolutely terrible. I initially thought given her age maybe she had dementia and wandered off, which is absolutely terrifying but this is so much worse. There is a special place in hell for people who harm the elderly.

If she was dropped off by her family, why did she enter the house through the garage? but it appears that she was taken out through the front door where the blood is. it’s also possible that she never actually returned to her home and that the blood on the ground was deposited earlier when she left.
