He just doesn’t do it for me anymore. I loved him growing up on the original series—and then saw him live and it was literally one of the most off-putting performances I’ve ever seen. Un-funny, punching down a lot (like why—it’s a food show), and generally just not entertaining.

  2. During Covid, he did a series called QQ (quarantine kitchen) with his wife on YouTube. At first a drunk Alton was kinda funny. But then, the verbal abuse and manipulation became waaay too uncomfortable. I think I now understand why the food network finally cut the cord. Never meet your heroes 🤷🏽‍♀️

They have become my Saturday morning breakfast viewing. He pokes fun at some of his past opinions and generally seems to be having a lot of fun.

  4. I kind of lost touch with the program ever since he said there’s no need to buy specific kitchen gadgets if something else in your drawer will do the same thing. And then he pivots to doing stuff like this using fancy gadgets and whatnot. I miss some of the simplicity of his early episodes

Alton Brown sucks. He put contestants through hell on Cut Through Kitchen, but he’s never done any cooking competitions himself. He’s a coward.

    Same goes for Guy Fieri.
