  1. Actually very happy. I know the song was pretty old and all, but that was genuinely the only song I liked the most out of the nominees (was listening to it earlier today, it is just *that* good), very surprised but happy that she got something for it!

  2. She was ROBBBBBBBEDDD last year. So I take this as penance. Even though I’d rather see birds of a feather win from her, or Benito from this category overall

  3. HUGE GRAMMIES W

Feels bad to say but I was just hoping for Golden not to win since there are so many songs from the movie that are better, but I didn’t imagine my actual favorite song from the lineup would win.

I love Billie down and Wildflower is a beautiful song, I just don’t think it was representative of song of the year for 2025?

I’m still happy for her, and loved her speech…but IDK I have mixed feelings…

Billie is 24 and she’s won Song of the Year 3 times – 2020 Bad Guy, 2024 What Was I Made For? 2026 Wildflower – the most awarded in that category EVER

She’s won Record of the Year 2 times – and is one of 4 musical artists to win it back to back – Roberta Flack, U2, and (edit) Kendrick as of tonight.

I know awards are subjective but those stats are insane. 9 wins/34 noms.

She also has 2 Oscars for her film songs (Bond and Barbie).

  6. I personally don’t think the song should have been eligible for a nomination, nor should it have won after said nomination. That loophole shouldn’t exist. That being said, I’m glad she called out the injustices happening in the US during her speech

  7. She deserves this award. It definitely is one of the songs that represented 2025. Confused why Reddit doesn’t agree

  8. i hate that they made bad bunny do that whole little thing and then don’t give them the award :/

  9. I think ppl forget this category is simply for songwriting because of its name and every other award show having it represent the most popular.

Also the nominees this year were REALLY weak I’m surprised the sub is confused Wildflower took it

I love that song, it is just so beautiful and her delivery is the perfect amount of drama. I would love to see her go in this more emotional direction. I wasn’t a big fan of her initial “I’m such a bad girl, and I’m too cool to actually sing, and I’ve taken classes from a professional, Olympic edgelord to learn how to make my face look *extra* bored at all times” persona. Didn’t even know she was this talented until her more recent releases.

  11. it’s the most musically beautiful songs of all the nominations and if she was allowed to be nominated, she’s deserved to win.

as much as i loved this song, i just don’t feel she should’ve won for this. luther was on #1 for 13 weeks, song & record should’ve gone to them. or literally any other song that was actually released in the eligible year. i don’t agree w the fact that you can just make it a single in a new eligibility period and then do that so that your album can get a grammy because you feel snubbed from the last year. and if you disagree with that- i wonder how you’d feel is taylor made ‘guilty as sin’ a single now and nominated that and then won ? or any showgirl song if she doesn’t go home with any grammys for that album next year. i can’t help but feel like that would inspire some intense outrage 🤣

friendly reminder that this woman “doesn’t care about the charts or awards” but used a grammys loophole to submit her 2 year old song because she didn’t win anything last year
