  1. >“Thank you so much. I can’t believe this. Everyone else in this category is so amazing. I love you so much,” she said. “I feel so honored every time I get to be in this room. As grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything but that no one is illegal on stolen land. And, yeah, it’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, and our voices really do matter, and the people matter. That’s all I’m going to say. Sorry. Thank you so much.”

All land in the world is stolen by the people who live there now .  That’s the history of human civilization.  What a naive comment

There’s actually a court case in British Columbia working its way through the system based on this premise. It’s an interesting point, but I don’t think most of the people saying it are ready to give North American back to the ethnic groups that controlled it pre 16th century.

If that’s the case then all borders in the world should be open. That statement doesn’t even make sense.

  5. Extraordinarily out of touch. That’s not even exactly why people are angry. There are much bigger problems with ICE and our government in general.

This is a completely braindead, simplistic statement meant for her 14 year old middle school girl fans and white redditors to eat up, it means nothing and “open borders” is a completely suicidal ideology politically that’ll never, ever gain traction for very obvious reasons.

Rhetoric like this are WHY republicans get elected to boot.
