Interesting, I didn’t know GRRM chose Condal and introduced him to HBO as the best option for the show.
Between their division and the other showrunner quitting, I wonder how bad things truly are. If this season is reviewed poorly as well, I wonder if Condal is kicked out

Side note but “breaks silence” has got to be one of this most annoying statements of all time.
Of all the clickbait word salad bullshit that the internet has conjured, that phrase boils my piss more than anything.
“Person X breaks silence as they finally reveal Y”.
Can literally write that about any human being speaking about any topic ever.

GRRM was very likely correct in his input, but if I were to guess doesn’t know when to pick and choose his battles. Historically he’s tended to consider small changes to be significant deviations (when they’re definitely not), but if he’s critiquing every minor thing it becomes easier to just write off his feedback as a whole.
