A big sigh of relief over the lack of dragons over there

> Like any good American family, I would prefer that our dysfunction stays behind closed doors. But here we are. What I would say is George introduced us to Ryan as the person that he thought would be the best to create House the Dragon. And I will say Ryan has been an excellent showrunner and a really great partner and collaborator, so we embrace his vision and his creative choices, or we wouldn’t have done it. I consider it great to have George as the architect of this world. I mean, think about what he has created, the world, the families, the battles, all of the history, it’s pretty extraordinary. George is a great partner for us to have. The idea that he is going to agree with every creator or showrunner that is either developing or producing, two artists are not always going to agree. So, some of this comes with the territory
Glad Bloys emphasized that George forced them to pick Condal

Honestly I’m just happy they’re committing to annual releases instead of making us wait 2-3 years between seasons. That killed the momentum for so many shows lately.

That is fantastic news. When they announced that upcoming seasons would be harder to film i was sure it would be like 3 years between seasons, so this is a very welcome surprise.

All fun and games till we reach season 3. No way in fucking hell any studio would wait for George who knows how long to write more Dunk&Egg books.
We all know they’re either gonna keep going or cancel this completely without any real resolution.

I would hope so. It’s six 30 minute episodes. That’s not alot of content.

So, they’re 100% going to pass George on this too.
He’s going to hate this. I hope all those useless TV shows, wildcards anthologies and development deals were worth spending most of his time on

high budget shows release less often because streamers dont want to spend the money and they want to string you along to make you pay and just drop it off every 2-3 years.
