    Good casting so far.

I wonder if they will bring back Deborah Ann Woll for Laufey.

I can see her as sif tbh. They haven’t missed with the casting, so far. I’m not sure I trust the creative team yet, but I’m happy to eat shit.

  3. Hurst as Kratos seemed hard to imagine, but he is good enough to where I am willing to see how it pans out… Teresa Palmer is starting to scream of budget constraints. She’s not a particularly good actress at all.

She was in a schlocky movie when I was 13 called I Am Number Four. I didn’t know she was still in things, good for her.

  5. Interesting that Sif is the second character to be cast in this show. She’s not in GOW 2018, and she’s honestly not that important of a character in Ragnarok either. Seems like one change they’ll be making is giving her a bigger role.

  6. So, the show is skipping straight ahead to the Norse stuff? Kinda makes sense from a storytelling perspective to get the kid and Freya and all them involved from the start. The Greek storyline probably works better as flashbacks.

So Deadline just revealed that Teresa Palmer has been cast as Sif. Interestingly the above random(?) website also confirmed the same 2 days ago.

They also say that Max Parker has been cast as Heimdall and Olafur Darri Olafsson has been cast as Thor.

Both of these were rumoured to be being ‘looked at’ before but not cast. This says they have now been officially casted. The previous rumours also said Max Parker was going to be Baldur not Heimdall.

They also say Alastair Duncan who plays Mimir in the games will do the same for the show.

  8. God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok include so many characters that we will probably see casting news for the next month.

We still don’t have casting for Odin, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri and quite a few other rolls.

She doesn’t do much these days other than talk about her (literal) poop on her podcast.

    Yes, really.

A fucking tragedy that they are skipping the Greek storyline from the first three games

  11. Skipping the entire Greek storyline immediately kills any interest I could have had in this show. There’s literally like 12 viking shows running right now. You can really feel them winding up to turn Kratos into ‘generic male protagonist’ like they did with Master Chief in his show or Obi Wan in his show. It seems like since Samurai Jack ended Hollywood lost its ability or desire to write strong male leads and so I fully expect a broken whiny Kratos who needs to be saved by the people around him rather than a stoic person contemplating the gravity of what they’ve committed

I’ve never played a single game nor do I know for sure what the story premise is but I love her so yeah I’m down

Is there a reason why they’re going with the Norse story of GOW? Is it just because the Norse stories are the most recent?

  14. I really hope they cast Danielle Bisutti to revisit the role of Freya. Probably one of the few VA cast who could easily make that transition, along with Deborah.

  15. Welp based on people reaction and seeing The last of us talked about in a positive way, I will say this, “I ain’t watching this either. The foundation is made follow the source material.”

I can’t wait for them to announce a non-white casting and everyone loses their mind and decides this show will be shit and woke.

  17. Weird that a small character from the second game joins the game or well is announced first than other big characters like Freja.
