  1. Such a fun show that really shouldn’t have been as good as it was when you realize each season is basically the same plot of chasing down talismans/animals/spirits/masks.

  2. Ironyfree_annie on

The Hindi dub of this was probably the most fun I ever had watching cartoons in my childhood. Streets ahead stuff

  3. SupervillainMustache on

I remember as a kid there was a monthly magazine where you could collect the Talismans.

  4. One of my childhood favorites. I know the plot of each season was basically to get the MacGuffin before the bad guys but I still liked it.

  5. Except Jackie didn’t voice himself for most of the show. Also the make up voice actor was good

  6. I only found out a few years ago that Jackie Chan did not in fact voice Jackie Chan. He had barely any involvement other than a few videos they took one day at a karate class he was teaching.

  7. I watched the Christmas episode on YouTube a few years back and it was very charming and an enjoyable high concept. It was basically a far more enjoyably version of Red One.

  8. Young me had the most massive crush on Viper. Now that’s a semi-niche childhood crush for you.

  9. do you ever think Jackie Chan wakes up in a panic, his entire body covered in sweat wondering about a second family he only sees in his dreams?

  10. There’s a scene I always remember where they’re being chased by Jiangshi and Uncle declares “YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF ITS SOCK AND THROW IT IN THE RIVER” and Jackie’s like “Who comes up with these rules?”
Absolutely killed me as a kid. Less funny in text. You had to be there. Go watch the show.
