In Ocean’s Eleven, the vague “Incan matrimonial headmasks” explanation sounds intentionally unreliable, reinforcing the idea that Soderbergh is more interested in tone and persona than strict backstory.

  1. Random point: it’s funny how the films being only 3 years apart, the gray hair makes him look way older lol looks almost like he did Ocean’s 10 years after Out of Sight.

Pretty sure you’re forgetting some little movies called Erin Brockovich (2000) and Traffic (2000) that were filmed between these two.

  3. Out of Sight kinda flies under the radar but it’s a favorite for me. Typical Soderbergh, great cast, interesting story with twists and turns, smart, funny, great structure and while I’m not a fan of Jennifer Lopez as an actress there was a lot of chemistry with Clooney.

It’s hard to go wrong with Dennis Farina in almost anything, and oddly Clooney looks so much younger in Out of Sight vs. Ocean’s 11.

  4. We’re gonna talk about the fact he’s wearing the same suit in both images, right?…right??
