Maybe if they stopped holding the thing in places like FLORIDA people might want to actually watch. Call me crazy but I would like it to be cold and snowing when I watch the only outdoor game of professional hockey on the calendar.
Not to mention this year it was literally held in a normal stadium and they just popped the roof open and that apparently means it’s outside. Truly insane.

shouldn’t have been in Florida, shouldn’t have chosen such a bad matchup with no historical rivalry or interest. Fixed it for you, Bettman

It was on a network nobody thinks of to watch hockey on, on a random day that isn’t its traditional New Year’s Day. Of course ratings were bad, even before the question of “why the fuck is this in Florida?” (Why is anything in Florida, let’s be honest)

NHL sorta screwed themselves by not securing broadcast TV placement. MLB and NBA recently moved a lot of their inventory from cable to broadcast and NHL should have done the same. Cable is cooked

I forgot about when it was on, never saw ads for it.

I’ve tried to watch two hockey games this year. Both were on TNT(?) and both were blacked out with no alternate broadcasts or programming. I won’t be trying for a 3rd.
