I am not really familiar with this person but I will say reading that it sounds like this person took a challenge of life and decided to turn it into a positive to help themselves and others.

That is what life is all about. It is about how you use your agency to make a better and brighter world.

These are the unsung heroes of society.

Disability advocates, Labour Movement advocates, Environmentalist advocates, Women’s Rights advocates, LGBTQ+ advocates, Civil Rights Movement advocates, Peace Movement advocates, Alter-Globalization Movement advocates, and so many more.

People with real substance and real fight.

I hope Alice finds peace and her memory is a blessing.

  2. This is terrible news. Alice was such an interesting writer and a strong advocate for the disability community. I learned so much from her when I developed with long covid. 😢

Alice was anti-Covid. If you care about her or disabled people generally you should start taking it seriously again if you stopped. To protect yourself and everyone else.

  4. Oh no. This is so very very sad. Alice was such a fierce activist, writer, and supporter of fellow disabled folks. She spent so much time working to not just inform others, but to support others, and lift up other disabled voices. Told stories, hers and helped tell others’.

Even in more recent years, she also helped start Crips for esims for Gaza: [https://cripsforesimsforgaza.org/](https://cripsforesimsforgaza.org/) disabled folks (and others) raising money to help people stay connected amid genocide. Among many other efforts, because she knew we have to help each other. This is such a loss for our community but also we’ll remember the fiercely passionate and thoughtful person we were blessed to have.

I hope her kitties are getting extra love right now.
