In The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) scene where Jordan Belfort throws his gold Rolex into the crowd his watch clasp is unhooked.

This type of clasp has a 2 part latching system and Im assuming the smaller clasp had to be opened to make it easier for him to take it off and throw it quickly. Having to stop and fumble with the clasp would kill the flow and energy of the scene.
